In general, speed of streaming is usually entirely down to the capabilities of your internet connection. Usually the only other thing that would seriously affect it is if you’ve got quite an old computer with a slow processor and/or minimal memory. Another possibility is that you’ve got some kind of virus etc that’s eating your computer alive, though that’s less common with Macs.

This could get time-consuming. I’m up for it, but let’s not trouble everyone else with the details. Will e-mail you. (If you block e-mails from unknown senders, check your junk mail folder for something timed & dated about now with the subject “Band videos”.)

Have just checked and tried to update my settings etc but it makes no difference :0(

Do you know of anything which will help speed up streaming?

Have just investigated which gave me an excuse to watch the new steamy Justin Trousersnake vid which was quite nice :0)
The mac did misbehave a bit so shall check for updates now.

Ema – as Joe9t hints in the comments above, the footage was shot in Rochester – mainly walking down the high street, though the fairground bits are in the castle gardens.

Jo – I don’t have a problem watching them on mine. The ILB video was actually made on a Mac, though that’s neither here nor there as far as YouTube’s concerned.

Do you have this problem only with the band’s videos, or with all YouTube videos? If it’s all of them, you might need to install the latest copy of the Flash player on your Mac.

I spent years spitting about mobile phones, loathing their very existence. Perhaps this is the reason each phone I’ve had has run away from me, rejecting me, saving itself, or something. Anyway, it turns out these crappy blocks of plastic have a beautiful Lo-fi quality to them, much like the Fisher Price recordings. Seeing as though they are all we have to film on, I guess that’s kinda lucky. xxx More little videos coming soon innit.
