‘Worms and Words’ Update 1
As impatient as I am, rather than wait until I’m in the clear, I will tempt fate and say . . . ‘worms and words’ is near complete. Its been a fucking mission – a constant state of confusion, and I still don’t no whether or not it is worth the paper it will be eventually printed on. Right now its getting proof read by Hg. Meanwhile I’ve locked myself away and with black ink, tippex, and black n white acrylic, have been tending to some illustrations. None are ready just yet, so here’s some of the paintings that I guess are the last to have been completed at The Unawarehouse . . . RIPiss
Sick Traditions, Fantasies and Forbidden Fruit
A recent interview with Mr Crook appeared in the Kent-based magazine The Gig Guide:
“I’m just following an age old tradition that is trying my best to observe, experience and then communicate feelings and thoughts and hopefully do so in such a way that is original and interesting. Most importantly I need to satisfy my own sick little traditions, my imagination, its fantasies and all those fruits that appear forbidden.”

Still Shelley’s Ward?
An interesting review of The Lost Belongings on SoundsXP.com:
“Lupen Crook is an odd one… part Pete Doherty, part Percy Bysshe Shelley, spitting out his words in Estuary English in songs that are part-skiffle, part-ballad, part-cabaret (‘Lest We Connect The Crooked Family’) or dabbling in folkatronica (‘Scare Crows’)… The effect is individual, resolutely uncommercial and a psychologist’s dream.”
