hey bob, hope ur good. im just wondering about the cajon drum you are playing in this vid, i am thinking of buying one so just wondering whether you have any suggestions on certian models/makes cos ive been scouring but dont quite know which one to buy & their fairly expensive with ones starting from £120 odd…your playing and style compliments Mr.Crook amazingly btw..love the stop/starts of the pots and pans/cajons ? in “sunshine devils” too
..get back to me if possibla. thanks x
Hey Dorian. Bobs away at the moment, so if you don’t hear from him, don’t take it personally, but I’ll pass on this message and try get the info you need, hopefully soon.

yo Lupen, coolies no worries there then.thanks for that man ‘preciate it, love the sound of those cajons!..looking forward to your new material whenever it comes, hope you’re good man.peace&strums, as ever/always x
Dorian – I think the sound you’re referring to in Sunshine Devils is actually the granite percussion blocks played by Tom. It’s a bit murky, but you can (just about) see them in this live video.
hey there Stuart/HG
haha thats it ye, granite percussion blocks eh, theyre pretty wicked too
sounds well cool! ive been looking at attachments for this shitty drumkit too, wooden block ones so may get my hands on them too if i find any good prices. hope you’re well mate. x
Dorian – Have a look at this site, I think it’s a German company called Thomman –
http://www.thomann.de/gb/cajons.html
They have a large range of Cajon drums starting from around £60. It’s where Bob got his one I believe.
Also try and find a thing called a heck/side kick. It’s an attachment for the cajon that can sound really cool and give you a bit more options when you’re playing.
Or if you’re really skint – you could just make one yourself, it’s just a wooden box with a sound hole at the back and a snare attached to the inside. I’m sure it would be quite easy to build.
Hope this helps.

hey there tom, thanks for replying & tryna help me out thats well sound of you.
just checked out those heck/side kicks on a video on youtubs and they look pretty sweet too so if i am to buy a cajon i will consider getting one of those too! i wouldnt mind knowing which one bob has so i could b a copy cat and get the same one
if thats not too much bother to find out on his return etc..
ive saved that thomman link so will have a gander through that 2moro
hope you guys are well
