Memoriacide
Here’s Dave Wise’s latest short film, enjoy . . .
“Memoriacide, featuring live music from Lupen Crook and Oliver Burgess played at locations in the Medway Estuary, showing Cockham Wood and Darnet Fort, Hoo Ness Island and Darnet Island. Filmed by Dave Wise in September 2009 during a canoe journey we took. The title refers to the killing of history; which is what Medway Council are guilty of by refusing to save the forts and islands from the river, and also what I am doing by showing this film and introducing the locations, which will in time encourage others to go there and no doubt ruin them, as we generally do. A very human failing, this lust for passing on information to please; to get close in some way. As the old traveller writer’s saying goes, we each kill the thing we love.”

enjoyed that
damn shame about the fort n that, what the fuck is up with those cunts in the council?!.that shipwreck was sick too.
good to hear the first song of yours on the flick again and like the quieter “love underground”
hope you guys are well and ready to rock’n'roll in 2010

So were you the only one prepared to trust your guitar to a Medway-bound canoe? I watched the one about the Theatre Royal, too. Again, skads of guitarists, only Lupen’s trusty eight-string in a demolition site. Still and all, excellent campaigning videos, great images of Chatham and environs, and cracking songs. Thanks, enjoyed it very much.
jealous of this journey.
seriously nice film. nice to see “man of kent” make a reappearrance as well. didn’t reliease (sic) how extremely lovely some parts of the medway delta are. having said that the only place in chatham i’ve been is the tap ‘n’ tin which doesn’t seem like the nicest bit of the world. i asked someone where the nearest newsagent was when i was seeing a band there once and they told me to fuck off. which was nice

Yeah, that sounds like a typical night out in Medway. You have to dig deep or else look past the surface scum to find the true beauty, but of course you are likely to get a few cuts and bruises along the way. Good to hear from you again. x
likewise too, good to see action on the crooked front. should probably say clipper guts is now more than likely gonna be a blog thing now as printing is fucking expensive. would you be up for a video interview/performance thing round the release of the new LP at all?

oh and the random lyric thing at the top of the site is ace!
Joe9t. Interview / live performance sounds great. Let us know when you fancied doing something, whether you want to wait for a release date or get something done beforehand. x
cool man. when once i’ve got the tech shit sorted out i’ll give you a shout
