A quick note to the noteworthy to inform the display of a certain tarred and feathered shot at SW1 Gallery this week (see gallery section on this website’s home page if in the dark).
It had been planned to display the feathered 3 amidst a recent shoot from an asylum. However, time and space caught up with us and sadly the selection was abandoned – if this is of any interest to you click here to see more images (new website still under construction, so yet another Facebook link i’m afraid)
Many thanks to the Crooked Family and beyond for love and inspiration, watch this space for the dancing wooden man x

How do we follow the sad news in the previous post? It hasn’t been our most pressing concern, but it has crossed our mind. This wasn’t the plan… However, time marches onwards and needs must when the devil’s son drives into town.
The band is playing a gig at the Bull & Gate in Kentish Town (London), next Monday evening, July 5th. Stage time is 9:15pm and there’s a free guestlist. All we need is your names in the comments for this post by midday on the day itself.
In other news, we filmed a video for forthcoming single Devil’s Son on Saturday. The picture above shows a tired and achy band relaxing for five minutes in the late afternoon sun, before diving back into the hottest venue in the world for a final take.

The Crooked Family is deeply saddened to mark the passing of Family member and dear friend The Mrs, who died on Wednesday.
We miss him terribly and are seeking solace in companionship and memories. Our thoughts are with his family and all who knew him.
MRS, RIP. xxx
I’ve just added a few new pics from the recent photoshoot to various areas of the website. Here’s one that everyone loved, but we weren’t sure about using as a “press” or a promo shot.

We might have appeared a bit quiet recently, but as ever much is going on behind the scenes. Not all of it’s “band” stuff, but everyone’s gloriously up to their neck in it one way or another.
Right now, on this Wednesday evening in early June, Mr Crook is writing, researching old movie posters and (in his own words) “dicking around”. Clayton’s drinking in a pub on Oxford Street.
The brothers Langridge are incommunicado… batteries fully charged, but diverting to voicemail. And I’m sitting at my desk, full of Indian takeaway and beer, spinning the story and weaving the web.
Where are you and what are you up to? x
