Please help the wonderful Miss Jenny Hardcore in the NME photo awards by voting for her pictures.
She has five photographs entered in the competition including the tarred and feathered shot of yours truly.
Last week she had three photos all in the top 10, one of which was in first place. Please help give it one last push by voting before the competition ends.
Thanks so much.

Ps Dan, if you’re reading this, I got your email about the tattoo. Sorry its taken me so long to reply, I’ll be in touch soon.
Hello hello,
Spring time is here at last!
Its been a while since I left a post. How is everyone?
Just to let you know we are playing Latitude this summer.
Who’s going??
Other festivals are in the pipeline, I’ll let you know when they get confirmed.
A few photos from last Friday, our last day in the studio.
For some reason every photo was a close up of our hungover and weathered heads. I’m not sure what was going on with our camera phones that day… so not much of an insight really. Sorry. However, there was one massively gay group shot… who would have thought that only eight hours before we were all rolling around on the floor having a band fight.
Anyway,
We’ve now finished recording and mixing the Album! It’s a whole lot different from the EP’s we’ve released this year. I want you all to hear it now!
We have two gigs in London, and we will also be celebrating Hg’s birthday… he dont look a day over 70… that man’s having a good gig!!!
Come join in the fun.
Ivy House, Nunhead – Saturday 21st Nov (on stage approx 9pm)
Supporting our friends and fellow Med-ites Up-C Down-C. £3 entry. I know what you’re all thinking, Nunhead’s not even a real place. It is! Check out all this info – only 15 minutes by train from London Victoria to Nunhead station, then a 15-20 min walk to the pub (map here). You can also take the train from London Bridge to Honor Oak Park, then it’s a 25 min walk (map here). Use the National Rail journey planner for train times.
Some other useful shit…
Last train back to Victoria is 23:20 (arriving 23:38). Last train back to London Bridge is 23:40 (arriving 23:52). Otherwise, the N343 night bus runs from Cheltenham Road. Turn left out of the pub and walk to the end of Stuart Road, bus stop EK is directly opposite. It goes direct to Trafalgar Square every 30 mins from 00:27 onwards and takes about half an hour.
Proud Gallery, Camden – Sunday 22nd Nov (on stage approx 10pm 9pm?)
A Fellini-inspired night… I’m embarrased that I don’t know much about this guy, a very interesting film maker.
Proud Gallery is about half-way between Camden Town and Chalk Farm tube stations (map here). More information in the flyer above.
Bob’s been away on tour with Motorhead for what feels like ages now but we’re hoping he’ll be back for this one, banging his box loud and proud.
A huge thank you to everybody who donated money to pay for Hicks to be towed. You will no doubt see her hug the road next year. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
When the day comes and Hicks finally splutters her last breath, she will be sacrificed for a music video. With a can of petrol and a match, flames licking the night sky, we will gently roll her into the river Medway.
Word,
I’ve been working on a few alternative EP cover designs for the free download – Great Fears and Curious Predictions. I annoyed myself by not getting the time to finish off an idea by the release date, so Mr Crook took the reigns and made the design you see today. We have decided to keep back my first design and explore this idea further for the album. Above is a drawing I started as a tattoo design, but as always the ship tends to steer itself back to port Murderbird. I think it makes a nice cover to accompany the songs. I will post other alternatives soon.
I hope you like.

My first real attempt at stop motion.
This is just an experiment and far from perfect so I’ve decided not to spend any more time on it. It’s been a huge learning curve for me and mostly relied on trial and error, resulting mostly with error.
Nonetheless I’ve worked out a few little tricks along the way to make the whole process slightly quicker and I couldn’t have done it without the brilliant photography of Jenny Hardcore whose patience and ideas have made this slow process far more enjoyable.
I have no idea how many photographs have been used but it must be close to 1000.
Anyway, I will now begin a far more ambitious and possibly impossible idea… impossible for a man of my limited talent anyway.
If anyone has any experience with stop motion and would like to hear about my new idea, if only to tell me i’m batting out of my league then all advice or help is very welcome.
I hope you enjoy and watch this space.
