A Little More Blood On The Tracks

We’d hit every bar on the strip
It got us beat up, and got us sick
There’s the underpass where I used to play
Where you would sketch your absurd scenes throughout the day
Blood in, blood out
If you could’ve stomached it, I’m sure that we could’ve worked something out
It weren’t true love but it was kind of neat
If my words are worth a jot I’d say this feeling’s hard to beat
Good friends are hard to find
Scratching out all of your self-drawn lines
I’d already lost mine, you were sure yours was next
A little hit down at the farm would do the trick
Mothers maybe you should’ve kept us both as child
We missed the boat by a god damn dirty mile
Blood in, blood out
I hate the taste of all the days and nights I spent eating out
It ain’t redemption, though I often wish it were,
Today the late Autumn leaves have been reminding me of both you and her
Good souls are hard to find
Could you let her know that we all think she’s got her eyes
Remember, remember, the first of November
With smiles for saints days and headlights breaking through the fog
To those who were once, now gone, still here and yet to come
Every life that dies deserves a song
Blood in, blood out
I miss the days when we would waste wonder on what the hell this life’s about
I’d love to see you smile, but I’d settle for a frown
I guess life sometimes means living without
Good friends are hard to find
A shame you felt existence without ever living life
It ain’t over, until I say it so
Remember me with a smile and a soul

love this song man, the whole album is lush but i think th last 3 songs make for lovely finales to it and the build ups to the choruses get me singing along everytime!

Cheers Mister Bluefits. It’s actually the most important track on the album for me.

Sorry to here about your grandmother. That’s an impressive age she got to though!

Roll on Monday, I hope you like the versions of Chasing Dragons coming up.

Keep in touch and see you in Cardiff. Might sneak some new tunes in my set for ya. xxx
