Cackle And the Crown
This time they caught me by the ear
And dragged me and the ground
In front of everyone
But the laughing, the laughing
I knew their plan so I knew well these flaws
I had walked on them before
You could say I’m well prepared
But the laughing, the laughing
I’d be better dead and buried, just a memory forget it
Oh, oh, oh, oh, you never change, you never change
There’s fire in the hall and all the kids are screaming
There’s fire in the hall and all the kids are screaming
We are the spooks, the almost unstoppable
Middle class Christians with filth on our mind
We are the goons, the limp, lost, and lonely
Battering husbands and reclaiming wives, reclaiming wives
There’s fire in the hall and all the kids are screaming
There’s fire in the hall and all the kids are screaming

always loved this for an opening track, the adamant catchy chorus of “fire in th hall and all the kids are screaming..”!haha..HEAVY..get oooout!!
think you mention the lyrics “middleclass christians with filth on our minds” in phantom, my friend and you? also. love th 2 tracks on that halloween single, CLASSICS
Hey Dorian… totally agree. For some reason I missed out on Petals Fresh From Road Kill when it was first released, so I only started paying attention with Halloween. I loved the single itself, but it was Phantom that really sealed the deal. That section repeated in Cackle in particular.
