Impossible Loss Brigade
I hear you’ve gone and got yourself some new stuff baby and called it true love?
Now how do you think that makes me feel then baby, to see him where I was?
Three years and thirty seconds, will it ever feel the same?
It’s certain now I’ve lost you, I’m just a scared crow without brains
I dearly hope that I miss you, if we cross palms again
I creep, I make them crawl, I tell them everything I’m thinking
Everything I’m thinking but the truth, for what I think is insane and ever changing
Like the black behind my blinking, girl I’ve got it bad for you
Come on, you’ve got to kiss me one last time
You’ve got to check if I’m really dead
And in that kiss the truth can lie to you instead
The river runs from no one, it is driving out the town
And when I get my baby back I swear, I’ll cut her lover down
It’s an impossibility to save a soul like me
So I call the Impossible Loss Brigade, say, “My baby ran away
She got a new man, oh I just don’t understand”
She paints her face the way I always wanted
She kisses boys that have always haunted me
To hell with me, to hell with me
The river runs from no one, it drives me round the twist
And when I get me baby back, I’ll cut her on the lips
It’s an impossibility to change a man like me
Oh I call the Impossible Loss Brigade, say, “My baby ran away
She got a new man, oh I just don’t understand”
The cards are on the table and my hand is as black as sin
I don’t know where I’m heading and I don’t know where I’ve been
So I call the Impossible Loss Brigade, say, “My baby ran away
She got a new man, oh I just don’t understand”
We heard ya loud and clear, yeah we’re coming
We’re sending in the steadies, it’s gonna be alright
Needless to say we’ll want paying
Direct and most definitely with your life
Ahhh…
That’s impossible, that’s impossible I’m afraid
Ahhh…
That’s impossible, that’s impossible loss brigade

AT LAST!
I know what’s sung from “I creep, I make them crawl…”
Was like listening to Slam by Onyx!
I love the lyrics to this song.
The lost love songs are always my favourites, like Of Lovers And Lost Children too.
Strong words my man.

Yo Yo Lupen Crook been a fan for a very very long time now have pretty much everything you have done. Less of the arse kissin though and down to some serious demands. Please PLease come and do a gig in Bristol. Never had the chance to see you bought friends tickets to your shows and everything but never had the pleasure myself. Would be off the hook Mr Crook. Look into it is all i ask. Cheers.
Hi Sam. We’re currently working on getting dates sorted for Oct after the release of the album on Oct 4th. Bristol is one option being considered. Keep an eye on the gig listing on the website and thanks for your support.
Hi Sam, yeah as Hg says, album is set to go and our attention has just turned to gigs around September / October. Keep an eye on the site, or better still subscribe (if you already haven’t) and we’ll give you little hints bout what’s currently cooking – fits and shits and Bristol bound gigs. xxx
Can’t wait for the album. Would be awesome if one of the gigs was in the daytime! Failing that please come to the park and play us some songs •(^.^•) (•^.^)• Xx
i’ve probably asked this before at some point but is there a stylophone on this track on the pre chorus bit? i really like stylophones.
x
p.s. i’m 99% likely to come and watch you guys when you hit margate as it’s a 16 minute train away. what time do you guys normally finish just so i can figure out the train times and stuff
Yeah – its a stylophone. A few of the EP tracks from Lost Belongings have stylophone lurking in around – Little Treasure and Scare Crows. Brilliant toy! Not sure about stage times for Margate just yet, they’ll added to the gig listing as soon as we find out. xxx
cool cool. will have to listen to lost belongings again. the bass playing on that record is f’ing brilliant.
