Mantra 29

I will make today sober like you say
But I may need a drink to help me on my way
And get me through the day
Mind numb and throat dry
I’ll get a job today, maybe one that even pays
I’ll wear a suit so I can play the games you say real men ought to play
I will be the resurrection
Baby would you mind?
Come on, lay me down, touch my skin, let me in.
Baby would you mind?
Can’t we just fall in love again?
Like we did back when, days were simple
And beneath those eyes I wore there was a man you saw
And he was good and he was fair and fortune bound
He stood out from the crowd
I’m sure gonna miss that guy
Baby would you mind?
Come on, lay me down, touch my skin, let me in.
Baby would you mind?
Mantra 29
Get over yourself
Get over yourself
This one is mine and that one is yours
Everyone is here, but we’re not quite there

really like this one, especially when it kicks in at the end and the vocals/lyrics/delivery with the words “this ones mine and that one is yours”.. ! its kinda reminiscent (to me anyways when i first heard it) of the finale of the song “Scare Crows” : “Who the fuck gave these spastics acid?”… haha love that bit too, well good :p x

Totally agree with Dorian on this one. That end section is well fucked up and sounds amazing!

I am also a big fan of the the guitar part just before the 2nd verse begins- pretty!
